Stewart, BC is a place where time stops. I’ve been here for 3 weeks, eaten at the same restaurant 3 meals a day, and watched the weather move through the mountains day in and day out. If it had regular air service I could live here.

Houston, BC has the World's Largest Fly Fishing Rod. A waitress at the restaurant here tells me that there is actually a bigger one in Texas somewhere, but they just keep on callin' this one the biggest. There was a blow-up doll in the nativity scene this morning.

This is what it sounds like to be in a Peruvian city with garbage trucks that play the Lambada. They do that so that people can run out excitedly with their garbage, instead of putting it out on the kerb for dogs to eat. It is exactly the opposite of an ice-cream truck.
